For over 120 years, the Nagatani family has cultivated tea in Ujitawara, Kyoto, the heart of Japan’s historic tea region. Now led by Yuya Nagatani, alongside his father and grandfather, their farm remains dedicated to organic cultivation and time-honored craftsmanship. This matcha features Tenmyo, a rare cultivar registered in 2006, derived from the esteemed Samidori and possibly Asahi—both known for producing Japan’s finest matcha. Stone-milled to perfection by the Nagatani Tea Factory, it offers a bright green hue, delicate creaminess, and a refined umami depth.
